Join EEP
Welcome Potential Facilitators!
Our facilitators, university undergraduate students, are the backbone of our program, the direct connection between the students and the EEP curriculum. Although we select facilitators with a clear interest in outreach and elementary education, all facilitators are provided with training once per semester before working in the classrooms.
Time Commitment
Facilitators participate in weekly 1-hour classroom sessions (typically on Fridays), as well as weekly 1-hour internal meetings where we plan for the upcoming modules and discuss other club operations. We also organize occasional community events for all of the facilitators to get to know each other more casually and establish relationships. These are completely optional but recommended!
Expectations
Facilitators are expected to provide leadership and help establish community in the classroom. An engineering-intensive background is highly encouraged, although not strictly required. As a facilitator, you will be part of a passionate group of undergraduate students, so you are expected to bring that same level of enthusiasm to both internal and external events!
Application Process
We have a short application process, consisting of a written application and 15-minute in-person interview. We want to get to know each and every one of you well, and have a conversation to figure out if EEP is right for you. We love bringing in new facilitators, so if you are passionate, committed and excited, this organization should be a great fit.
We are accepting facilitator applications on a rolling basis through November 15, 2020, click HERE to apply!
